I had a chance to finally play "5150" with my band on Saturday night. The solo isn't perfect, I started on it a week ago...but the rest of the guys wanted to play it on Sat...and I couldn't say no...
:D

Man, that was awesome! I absolutely love 5150! It is one of my all time favorite VH songs. Good job! I would kill to have a chance to play that with a band!

Awesome job - and playing it in pitch darkness must have been tricky!?

Awesome man!!
That song is one of my top 3 VH songs!
You played it smooth.

Couldn't make the gig (hunted all day Sat, and was going all day Sun)

Sounds pretty damn good.

great playing. my only recommend is some stage clothes for your singer.
LOL! I thought the same thing! Playing was great though. Singer sounds like he is feeling the effects of how deceptively hard it can be to sing Sammy.

Always enjoy watching your videos man! Really good live band.

Did you dump the Splawn and go back to the5153?

Awesome job!!!!
Love that song, Great playing, bro!
What Guitar/pickup are you using?
(On my 3rd listen)
Keith

 Sammy is the only VH I like lol.

What's up? You don't like the Stage LOL

Good job!!

Great job! One of my favorite songs from the Sammy era.

I thought that freakin' rocked! Nice. I dug that you didn't do the solo note for note. Singer sounded good, too. Don't care what he's wearing at all. What amp you using?

Looks like a 50w EVH with matching 212 cab.

Thanks to everyone for taking the time to watch that and give it a listen...and to comment.

Let me just answer some quick questions... :D

I still love my Splawn...I had that at my other drummers house and couldn't get to it so I used the 5153...which I also love and think is the best amp on the market at that price point (or any price point maybe). The pickup in the guitar is an EVH Frankenstein, which I tried because of the EVH name, but I lalso think is the greatest pickup out there for this stuff. I have that in all my EVH replicas and other guitars.

I'm not trying to be "out in front" :D :D ...that's a small stage and it cuts in on my side which makes it even smaller, but in addition, if you're playing up there the sound of your amp is at your feet...where I stand out in front, the sound is more around my ears and I can hear the amp better and how it sounds in the room, plus, people don't want to see you just standing there like The Beatles in 1964 :D :D , my other guys "run around" too, just not in that vid.

I'm a diehard DLR guy, but that song is so incredibly great...thanks for checking it out!
