Hey shithead, most here know I lost absolutely everything; house, everything in it, cars, and yes gear, in a flood. All my wife and I had left was the cloths on our backs. We didn't go hoping for some retard on a gear forum to panhandle for us. Just did what needed doing to rebuild.

But keep on being an unhinged lunatic and sticking your foot in your mouth.

This is exactly why I don't hoard gear or collect stuff. If I can't toss it in the truck and bail out in 15 minutes during a wildfire threat then I don't really need it. I constantly run my possessions through the filter of that lens, especially since I'm not insured. Glad you were able to get back on your feet!!!

It was rough for a time. One of the worst was hearing people say it's just stuff. To an extent that's true, but it's also a physical representation of the blood & sweat through hard work and the physical momentoes. That's hard to see sitting in a pile of debris.

On the up side, we recovered fully, it just took some time. And gear wise I was able to replace or rebuild most everything.
