So after almost a year of not playing and liquidating my gear because life bs , I’m back got into a bidding war and have an amp coming my way ! I’m apt playing so I’m leaning 2x12 , 1x12 or 4x10 , it’s a blues breaker circuit playing mostly alt rock - punk with some blues and ambient mixed in . Thoughts ?

Closed ported 1x12 (TL806, Thiele, Bogner Cube etc.) with a 75W Creamback might be nice. The JTM circuit seems like it would want that over a V30 or something.

I personally love the depth and expansiveness of my 2x12.

I am personally a fan of Greenback style speakers in an open back, whether it be 1x12 or 2x12.

I also enjoy the punchy nature of my 2 over the sound of a 4x12.

Avatar makes great speakers to experiment with as well.

I have had zero issues performing live with my 2x12 and being in the studio alike.

Good luck!

For blues, my choice would be an oversize semi-open 1x12 Zilla cab, with either a 65W Creamback, or a Celestion Alnico Cream.
If the amp is capable of 16ohm operation, do get a 16ohm speaker.

If money is tight, then you could make do with a very used Harley Benton closed 2x12 V30 Vintage cab. But it wants to be well broken in.
The Greenback is only 25W, so you would need two of those if you want to be truer to the original Bluesbreaker brief.

Diagonal 2x12 with a pair of GB's or G12H30 55hz would be really sweet. Or maybe a GB and one of the new 55hz G12M's.
