Too bad, the USA Schecters are ridiculously amazing, especially for the money you can find them used. Very few people realize how awesome their US CS is.

For the price it was a good deal. But agh, I should just save a bit and get a Chubtone.

Outside of the used classifieds, GC is for beginners and parents who buy guitars for their kids. I popped into one yesterday since I was right next to it and they had nothing but a fat kid who must have been 6 playing drums with zero rhythm. I went in to look for a Seymour Duncan pickup. They only had 3. lol

Was it the one in Springfield or the newish one in Somerville on the circle? I don't even bother with the one in Springfield anymore. Only been to the one on the cirlce a handful of times.

It was Springfield. It was listed on there just a few hours ago but they did finally take it down. 95% of that stuff now is imported stuff around $600. Sad, they used to carry some decent stuff. Now you just have to watch the classifieds.

They used to have nicer guitars in there, now it's all Epiphones, MIM Fenders and cheap <$500 Ibanezes. Even their amps are disappointing. There's really nowhere to try out any of the good stuff anymore.

Russo down in Asbury Park has good stuff, Mesa dealer. Odibella's in Bergenfield also carries Mesa. There's Lark street in Teanack, and Golden Age in Westfield. There's also a place called Beau Monda that is way up by the NJ/NY border.

I give them the item # and ask for pics to my phone before I move on anything.

-THIS IS THE CORRECT ANSWER-

-no item #, no chance-

I have had pretty good success the last few purchases from them. But always bought on line. Had it shipped to my local. Went in. Checked it out.
If I didn't want it they refunded me on the spot and just tossed it out on their shelf. But probably the last 9 out of 10 buys from their used section has been great deals.
Bad thing is I coughed up the cash up front.
Worst thing is I liked all the stuff and my Guitar center card limit sky rocketed.

This is one I missed. It sold for $1000 and hung on the wall there for three weeks.

That was probably the only three consecutive weeks in the last five years I hadn't stepped foot in the store. It was on the website too, but this was two years ago when the used section on their site really sucked to navigate and I never bothered to look. I already have this guitar's identical twin, but for $1000, I'd have jumped on it.
