What Flying V would you buy right now? *Update* NGD

I've never really had a preference per se, but this purchase has me really wanting a reverse headstock. There's a new LTD Arrow-400 with a reverse headstock that is real nice. Actually, I think all of the new Arrows have reverse headstocks, but something tells me you're not an LTD guy lol.

No, the play button is blocking the knobs and switch. It's right handed, but the lower horn is longer than the upper horn. It's a nice offset.

That's really interesting. I haven't seen another like it, I think. Awesome, goes against the grain.

On the Floyd: yup, restringing is a real hassle. I try to stick with the same gauges, 0.10 to 0.52, pretty much. But if you change it, be prepared to spend around half an hour or more rebalancing the trem.

Once it's set up though, I like it very much. I have a few guitars, so if I need to change to a different tuning, I'll use one of those instead.

Can't think of a single issue with fixed bridges!

If it were me, I would be getting the Jackson Pro or Pro PLus series Rhoads. I know its a little more than the 1,000 budget, but I would trade a couple of random pedals or something into GC and get the extra 10% off from trade in.

------------ Update from May 1 ------------

Something that I didn't know existed popped up on my Facebook feed in one of the guitar groups I belong to. Apparently @headlessdeadguy was getting rid of a really beautiful Carvin Custom Shop Ultra V (is that the right name?) right around my price point. We chatted a bit on Wednesday and it arrived Friday morning, just 2 days later.

It's a fucking beauty.
I love the finish.
It plays great.
I don't think I realized it was an offset V in the pictures he sent me and I'm even more in love with it now that I see that. Happy to have gotten something more unique than a Kirk Hammett Epiphone or one of the new Futuras (but I still might get one of those in the future anyway).

The new Epiphone Futura? I kinda hate buying new guitars, so I'm not sure if the Futura is for me, but I love the specs.

Finish is important to me. I'll do black and white, but prefer blue, green, blue, sparkle, metallic, etc. For example, the Schecter V-1, Prophecy, and Kirk Hammett all come in either trans purple, or sparkle. I love that.
