For some reason when I click the pedal on (it’s the only pedal in my effects loop) there is a significant volume increase. Any way to combat this? Is it a bad pedal? Do I need some sort of buffer?

Does the loop in your amp have a line / instrument level switch? Loop return level control?

No loop level control. Just a send and return. It’s a Driftwood amp.

I had one and it did the same thing. Sold it. Maybe theres a trim pot inside?
