Only advantage is higher wattage if you are running a 100 watt head into a 2x12. The rest is just preference as @FourT6and2 mentioned

Why do you want to switch and are you planning on getting a new cab? Why?

Yes i want to get another 4x12 cabinet a Soldano 4x12 cab they come loaded with Celestion UK vintage 30

With a, let's say, 30-band EQ, wondering if it's possible to "emulate" between the two.

This is probably more in the case where load box is utilized so we can do the adjustment post-amp.

So the first time you heard Van Halen 1 first album did that sound vintage to you or modern

MODERN.

That's one of the things that blew my mind when VH 1 exploded in '78. Nobody had a sound like that except King Ed. Best rock tone I've ever heard.

So would the Celestion UK vintage 30 achieve that recorded sound or the Celestion greenback knowing Eddie did use greenbacks

Well, it's a more efficient speaker. So you'd gain about 2dB of volume in the room with the same amp driving it - which is slightly less than the difference between a 100w amp and a 50w amp for example. That's nothing to sneeze at if you need power.

You also gain power handling capability - 25W for the greenbacks vs 60W for the V30.

V30s have later breakup than greenbacks.

Tonally, there's some differences in EQ curve but not enormous ones. Both are fundamentally British voiced.
