Cheap Effects Pedals?

dx.com has the Joyo pedals cheaper than anywhere else. Takes a while to get them from China but their worth the wait. They have a state of the art facility making these. I recently took one apart and the build quality is as good or better than MXR. I'm waiting on some right now and will be building an all Joyo pedal board. Will post it up when finished.

How does the fish n chips differ from the Boss GE-7?

Danelectro Cool Cat Chorus. Awesome, lush, a bit more subtle than many. Great chorus pedal.

I've come across a couple over the years, but I think the best was an Arion Stereo Fat Chorus I got from Musician's Friend on clearance for about 40 bucks. Wow. Never heard another chorus sound like that. I stupidly sold it on ebay a few years ago to help pay the dentist...

far less noisy, and just as effective if not more so

only drawback is the switch i guess, small size of the unit, for the price definitely can't complain

Payed $29 for the MXR classic overdrive and $39 for the classic distortion. They're rehoused copies of MXR's own GT-OD and Distortion III. I sold several overdrives including my OCD and TS9 after getting the Classic Overdrive.

Also, got an R28 modded Phase 90 from the classifieds here for around $30.

I have the ultimate drive and it is awesome! My board is overloaded as it is or I would be adding more joyos to it lol

Joyo ultimate drive=40 bucks shipped. I've tried to replace it with a few boutique pedals including Wampler..but the cheap old Joyo stayed lol..also the Danelectro fish n chips...you might go through 2 a year but they're transparent as hell and noiseless..

I like a few Boss pedals like CH-1 Chorus, TW-1 T wah, GE-7 EQ and Ibanez/Maxon TS/OD 808. I have had a few higher end pedals like Suhr Riot, Voodoo Chorus which sounded great but after selling all my pedals and going back to them I skipped most of the expensive pedals and went with the common ones I had before.

joyo flanger, cheap option for dialing up those EVH sounds, but not worth spending money on an MXR EVH Flanger, but better spent on a more versatile Hartman Flanger

I bought a cheap chorus to experiment with a chorus pedal, and never replaced it. It's an Anolog Space Chorus from Mars Effects. It sounds great, and it was like $50 new. They look and sound like an EHX pedals, sort of.

Other than that, the Bad Monkey, Phase 90, and Korg Pitchblack win. Can't really throw tuners into this thread though.

Dod supra distortion, made in USA built like a tank and can be found for like 15 bucks, I use it as a boost and not a full distortion. The ibanez ton-lok series pedals like the chorus/flanger , delay/echo, and tube screamer were all nice sounding and cheap.

Joyo vintage Overdrive, really cool overdrive and super cheap, here's my own demo of it :

The Fish&Chips is built like a toy, even though it probably sounds as good as the Boss. The Fish&Chips case is plastic.

Marshall guv'nor 2 for me....cost me $99nz new (about $82us) and is my go to back up if something isn't sounding right with my amps gain

Boss SD-1.

Best boost for the brootz. $29 used. Come at me.

I could not go through life without my Boss HM2. I rarely need it, but those late night times that you need to cranked out some Entombed riffs, nothing else can satisfy like the real deal. I actually like a lot of Boss pedals. I don't understand the hate that floats around online, some of the new digital stuff isn't too great, but their delays, reverbs, and a handful of the overdrives are excellent.
