How does the fish n chips differ from the Boss GE-7?

far less noisy, and just as effective if not more so

only drawback is the switch i guess, small size of the unit, for the price definitely can't complain

The Fish&Chips is built like a toy, even though it probably sounds as good as the Boss. The Fish&Chips case is plastic.

The fish and chips sounds better than the boss IMO and you can buy two for the price of a used boss ge7. As much as I see danelectro talked down for their build quality I rarely see complaints about their pedals breaking. My two fish and chips EQs are still working great.

All that said it would be nice if danelectro offered a higher end build for their pedals for those that won't a more rugged switch and enclosure. I would buy the more rugged one built in a standard ham on box if it was offered.

Boss SD-1.

Best boost for the brootz. $29 used. Come at me.

Beat up Boss ns-2 and stereo chorus for 15$ each in a pawn shop. Looked like they rattled around in a tool box for a couple of years, but they still work like champs. Boss digital delay at the same pawn shop for 35$.

What choo got now, sucka? Yo momma wears combat boots!

These are on ebay brand new and they are auctioned with a starting price of 99P I managed to get mine for £8 new on ebay It sounds fing insane with my golub lead mod. It has a steel casing and it seems like it is built to last.

That Digitech Hardwire DL8 delay/looper pedal that Musicians Friend was blowing out over Thanksgiving for $59 turned out to be a real steal. Great sounding delay with 8 or 9 different modes and I believe a 20 second looper. Wish I would've grabbed two of them.

I have some pedals from Mooer, Joyo, EHX and Caline. Mostly clones and all of them very cool.

Joyo has a madprof od clone, EHX an OCD and Klon clone while Mooer makes clones and originals.

EHX Soul Food is a great pedal for the money.

Digitech Hyperphase. Very cool, tweakable and musical pedal. You can get very non standard phase sounds and its CHEAP!

I then heard the guy from Shinedown loves it and always has one in his rack.

Ibanez Smashbox

Considering how cheap it is, it's still the fiercest distortion pedal I've ever heard. An old band mate had one back in the day and it sounded mental every time we played. I bought one a couple of years back for nostalgic reasons and it still sounds ridiculous. It seems to get more present the more you crank it but still feels compressed and tight. It's a gnarly pedal.

Also had surprising luck with the behringer digital delay for a short while.
