Term limits in Congress would be a great start. (y)

The problem with that is "they" would have to vote for that and that won't happen
But they do vote to give themselves raises, more vacation time, remove penalties for things related to insider trading type shenanigans...

And that’s the whole problem…how do we change it…historically we don’t have a good track record of peaceful political change. Both parties are identical…they swap their message to whoever they are pandering to. All about self serving enrichment.

Term limits in Congress, yep.

Compulsory voting for citizens over 18.

Limits on expenditure for campaigns so millionaires can’t buy their way into office.

Sticking the full force of the law so far up both Trump’s and the corrupt Biden family’s ass it’s an example to everyone else.

That’d be a great start!

It’s one thing to tell people what they can’t do, and another to tell them what they have to do. Conscious objection is a valid concept in a free country. And “Making examples” with the judicial system is another totalitarian impulse.

There should be requirements to be able to vote. I don't want even more 18 year olds voting. 18 year olds are retarded.
Voting should only be available to people who have something invested in the future, so people that pay taxes, have a family, own land, etc.

So you are saying that (in the US) 18 year olds that serve in or get drafted into the military can't vote?

What ever happened to "all men are created equal?" I personally think this is an issue. Because clearly people make stupid decisions after they are created.

Plenty of people over 18 are retarded. And decisions impacting their future is lifelong compared to middle aged and retirees. So you pretty much said people invested in the future should vote, but not 18 year olds who have the most at risk...

I can get behind people who pay taxes. That would knock off many people on social security and disability which would be a problem for the GOP.

Not sure why having a family should impact voting at all. Seems like a stretch.

Also, California showed why letting property owners vote can lead to out of control housing crisis with prop 13.

Let's make it simple. Treat public offices like jurors. Don't let people self nominate anymore. Put term limits on Congress and SCOTUS. And require voters show they know more about the person they voted for than which party that person declared allegiance to.

Speaking of ages, I've brought this up before and I'll keep bringing it up.

If you are old enough to serve, you are old enough to vote and you should also be old enough to buy tobacco and alcohol. Granted, those are probably two of the worst, most deadly things out there, but its not fair.

There should be one age for all of this. 18? 19? 20? I don't care, just pick an age.

This would also work in reverse. You'd have to be 18 (or x) to get a sex change, and other things minors are allowed to do. Fuck 17. Fuck 21. Pick and age inbetween. Does that make sense or will States Rights mess with my concept?

I'm usually pretty astounded at listening to teenagers talk and convey stuff they are thinking about from recordings made in the 50s-60s, it's quite obvious that on average they were far more intelligent and insightful than most people well over that age today. I know there are lots of retards that put zero real thought into who they vote for that are well above 18 years old, but the amount of retardation is going to be a much higher in younger groups than groups that have been functioning in the real world. At the very least, voting should be moved to 45 years of age (saying that as someone who isn't 40).

Voting is already heavily biased towards older people. Only 1/4 of young voters vote. 65+, it's 3/4. If you can't accomplish your policy given current voter turnout, the policy and system is likely at fault, not the young voters messing up your policy approvals.

And 45 is a hard no. You are pretty much saying that you can be eligible for president before old enough to vote. That's about the same as the "pay taxes" comment, as I'm pretty sure people like Trump aren't paying taxes.

Get rid of women voters and you'll never have another democrat candidate again. Get rid of people who don't own real property or run a business and it will guarantee a conservative government in perpetuity. Amazing, isn't it? Women vote democrat and people with nothing to their name also generally vote democrat cuz gimme gimme.

Agreed. Republicans get hit hard on the Abortion issue. That’s a big reason why women vote for Dems. Republicans need to rethink that IMO. Women don’t want 70-80 year old Men making decisions for them on abortion.

But probably 75% of women are anti trump. And Sam Hyde is fucking hilarious.
