I believe in bigfoot. Todd Standing's footage looks fake to me.

Now that this has had a few months to calm down, I'm gonna post this in RT. But I'm going to preface this with a couple of things.

No, I haven't personally had a sasquatch encounter. But I live in the PNW, and I know many, many people who have. People I trust implicitly. Family members. Close friends and confidantes. I believe they encountered something anomalous. I wasn't there, so I can never be 100%, but these are all people who know what a bear looks like, an elk looks like, a moose looks like, etc. One of my best friends, his dad got attacked by one camping on a scouting trip. My aunt's ex husband was a national guardsman when St Helens blew, and he said he saw the bodies on national guard flatbeds.

I also believe it's in the state's best interest to keep their revenue from the national parks, and there being some kind of relic hominid or feral person/neanderthal/cro magnon whatever the fuck sasquatch actually is would open a gigantic can of worms and cost a whole bunch of people a whole bunch of money.

Not to mention the foresting industry would go bankrupt basically overnight.

I think there's a vested interest in keeping sasquatch under wraps.

That all being said, I think Todd Standing hoaxed his "footage." The face of this creature doesn't move at all. It doesn't blink or squint its eyes in the glaring afternoon sun on a snowy day. It just looks like a well made prop. He mentions that it looks like an Ewok multiple times, but I honestly think it looks shittier than an Ewok.

The angles the face "Appears" at doesn't look natural, and neither do its movements.

BTW there is other alleged sasquatch footage that contains ALL of the characteristics I outlined.

I honestly think this is some kind of well-poisoning psyop. Someone is pushing dumb people to regard Todd Standing as an expert in this field, and everything about this screams "hoax" to me. It feels like when the media shits out really bad agitprop and people just accept it because it's what they want to hear.

What say you? Does this look as fake to you as it does it me, a dyed in the wool Sasquatch believer?

The hair looks too clean, the mouth doesn't look right. The clips are too short to say "it should've blinked". Any predator animal would potentially not blink during an encounter with a possible threat. I believe in bigfoot but I think it's has some element of supernatural powers hence never getting properly filmed, killed, or caught.

It's not just that it didn't blink. It's that it's staring directly into the sun, and the ground is completely covered in snow.

Have you ever hunted in full daylight in the snow before?

You have to squint, or blink constantly or else you will literally become snowblind. that's why the word exists.

As far as this goes, maybe? I don't proclaim to be an expert and it certainly is an explanation

I'm more of the "people just aren't as smart or dominant as they think they are" school of thought but I don't think it's completely retarded to invoke the supernatural here

I personally think it's more likely that the "Supernatural" RE sasquatch is related to pheromones and infrasound that we barely understand scientifically, but there's no wrong answers with this topic just guesses

AI never proves anything is real, only fake. Because AI. Even many cutesy dog/cat clickbait vids are AI bullshit now. Or even guitar hotshot vids. We live in the Artificial Era. 🤡

Yeah I don't think this dude understands that he's just undermining what credibility he had by using AI to "prove" his "real" footage is genuine

Yes, intensely bright. But I'm human, not an unknown cryptid with big black, sort of demonic looking eyes.

Any sufficiently advanced technology appears as magic.

There are too many unexplained beings, too many cryptids. At least a couple dozen others. To insist it's just another part of the animal kingdom when none have ever been caught or killed seems short sighted and like something a raging atheist would say. I mean, it's def possible it's highly intelligent. A human who doesn't want to be found in the woods can evade people almost indefinitely. But you'd think someone would've stumbled on a nest, a den, something by now.

We need a Clown like option for this forum.....

Many have. There are pictures of them all over the internet. Bone graveyards of their prey, too.
I mean, it's speculative. I've seen the ones where huge trees are snapped down, pointed in odd directions. No birds or animal activity in a given area (also part of occult/demonic related stuff). The "no game cam pics" yet is the most sus part. Only spiritual entities seem able to avoid photographic detection. I believe it's a real being, but I don't believe it's purely physical.

That's honestly the least sus part of it to me, that's like their living room. Are you telling me you wouldn't notice a game camera in your living room? :ROFLMAO:

I don't completely discount the fact that there could be a supernatural component to this but honestly it just comes off as an uncurious "ancient aliens" type of hand waive, where the answer to everything is always ancient aliens, because you've pre-decided in your head to buttress your pre-existing worldview.

Difficult to take pictures? Jesus did it. Hard to track down? God did it. Black eyes that don't blink? Demonic entity, couldn't possibly be because it's a fake mask and it's easier to create solid black facsimiles of eyes.

I'm not saying youre wrong, because know one knows for sure, i'm just saying its reductive and hand-waive-y

Except we are talking about hundreds, thousands of square miles, not my living room. And if the 'foot is that perceptive, then ain't no way a human out in rhubarb is gonna snap videos or photos of it, nor "stumble across it" either, at least, if it doesn't want to be stumbled across. Most natives consider it an interdimensional animal, a spirit being, and that tracks with no real photos or videos legitimately being produced.

Maybe the Patterson film was legitimate, I dunno. There is a whole youtube channel dedicated to orthodox miracles caught on camera so I suppose it is possible to catch things in the spirit realm on film.

Not to get off track, but the "ancient aliens" thing is just a modern replacement for what was considered to be the gods in sumerian times. Michael Heiser (RIP) explained how Zitchin and others who were touting such theories were completely off base.

That's exactly what I think it happening - as in, they mostly only get caught in situations where they want to be, and situations where it's out of their control

There's a reason why something like 50% of all videos of encounters involve baby/juvenile sasquatch, and i'm thinking it's because the juveniles are like dumb teenagers who fuck up

And it's not 'no legitimate videos" its no "fake national geographic videos" and if you doubt me, you should research how much effort it took to get the first video of wolverines
Maybe the Patterson film was legitimate, I dunno.

There's a whole bunch of them besides the Patterson film that I think are legitimate

The independence day bigfoot is undoubtedly real imo, the Yellowstone Park buffalo hunters video is 100% legitimate, the Turkey Hunter chick video is obviously legit, and a whole bunch of others. It's just pedantic to list them all.

This is a huge problem with this topic, people who aren't really familiar with the evidence that's out there are more influenced by the "vibes" than the actual real and faked encounters - it's incredibly easy to poison the well with a couple fakes and then hundreds of obviously legit shit is thrown out with the bathwater.

Obviously you know that I also live in the PACNW- Eugene, OR… I’m a huge Bigfoot enthusiast. Sasquatch is absolutely real. I know loads of people up here who’ve claimed to have had encounters. About 20y ago my wife and I section hiked a large part of the PCT, and I’ve seen their campsites and dens that they make. If you go deep into the forest you’ll hear them.
