His trick at about 3 minutes in was cool. There is always new stuff you can find in the pentatonic scales, especially when you factor in chromatics and passing tones, never mind pentatonic major stuff.

I never have cared for the 3 note per string patterns because they dont leave you in a good position for blues bends and what not but its a different story when you play rock stuff.
