So who wins VTM or Stealth?

Get out of my head. I was just gonna ask you that.

:cheers:

Was the stealth boosted?

Nope! The only amps I boost are my VTM and Penta.

I dig both but I'm buying the stealth!

:rock:

Did you find one for sale?

And thanks for subscribing to my youtube channel, I really appreciate it!

I forgot to answer your question.

:confused:

I've got a bunch of amps but the three I play the most are the VTM, Stealth and 6505+. The VTM is my number one overall but when I'm in the mood to stumble through some Badlands or Dokken riffs I go with the Stealth.

The Stealth sounds better than the Ampegs to me anyway, YMMV. I had a Lee Jackson Ampeg (the 100 watt with the key on feature, VL1002 I think ?) and it wasn't as good to me as the Crate.

I've never played a Lee Jackson Ampeg, but I remember a local music store had them in stock when they first came out. The key feature was a hot discussion topic at the time.

:lol: :LOL:

A buddy of mine followed this Lee Jackson video and fixed the "issues" with my
long dead VL-1002.(we also threw in a quad of EH6CA7s.)

It has worked w/o fail for 2 years now. It's too bad the production on the
VL-1002 was so craptacular.
The weird thing is, that none of the demo videos on youtube
sound remotely like what the VL-1002 sounds like; VERY hot rodded
JCM800.
These tones live in this amp;

That's a pretty bold statement...and not one that I found true in my experience anyway.

I should add that the amp has to be turned up to "full roar" to get those tones;
it definitely does not happen at "conversation level" volume.
And, I run it through a Boogie Recto 4x12, which gives it a serious amount of "thump".
