How easy is it to play a Flying V sitting down? I've got a Jackson RR and I don't like playing it sitting because it has terrible neck dive.
I also live in the classical world where using a footrest or a guitar support is very common. I just ordered one of these and will report back on its usability.
I have that same Rhoads

Everything but a rhoads style is great if you like classical style, I find Vs to be the most comfortable guitars to play sitting because of the neck position you get.

Nice! I just grabbed that pic from a review that someone left to show how it works on a V.

Planet Tone pickups are having a 25% off sale:

That makes a lot of their pickups around $55 and many people in the comments at the site say they vastly prefer these over their SD and DiMarzios (including myself).

I've owned both the Charvel offset V and the Gibson symmetrical V. Both are surpisingly comfortable. You can easily balance the neck with a little bit of inside leg on the lower and forearm on the upper.

To me, the Gibson V is more stable than a LP when sitting. The weight of the LP helps, but it can slip with certain materials. The symmetrical V locks in.
