What sold me on the Timeline was the built-in looper. It is a big pedal, but I plan on controlling it with MIDI anyways, so it doesn't need to be front and center on my board.

I never used it for looping so that may be good for you. It sounded better than the Eventide Timefactor IMO.

I've heard several people report the same thing.

Cool.

I like rack delays, but you can't twist the knobs on the pedalboard, like I like to do on stage.

I don't like spending top dollar on vintage gear, especially the fact if something goes wrong with it, most of those parts are not made any longer and if you do get it fixed with new parts, chances are it won't sound the same. I don't need all the delay time in the SDE-3000 and I picked up the SDE-1000 mint in the original box with footswitch for $125.00.

Very cool! Does the SDE-1000 sound any different to the 3000? If not, then i may have to look into pickin one up...

I have seen SDE-1000s go for under $100 now, they seemed to have come down like everything else.

I heard that the 1000 sounds as good as the 3000, only difference is the delay times and several more options. Core engine may be the same, best to check at HRI.

Yeah good idea! Thanks for the info Scott!

I dont really need the delay times that the 3000 offers. I would only be using the unit for a super quick delay (think anything from 28ms - 40ms with some of that trademark modulation). I would be running both the SE-70 and the SDE-1000 in my CAE dual stereo line mixer together at the same time. SDE-1000 to give the sound a huge width and that lush modulation, and the SE-70 for the long stereo/pan delays.
