We were shooting long distance at Altus one day and they were giving a newbie pistol class over on a side range next to us, one of the guys in the class had one of those nylon holsters that fits everything under the sun but doesn’t fit anything properly and he went to holster up and the flexible nylon edge of the holster must have gotten inside the trigger guard and the weapon discharged sending the bullet through one leg and into the other.
We had to use 2 of our own CAT3 tourniquets to prep him for medivac and the entire facility had to go cold until they arrived, loaded him out and then left…
I never got my CAT3 tourniquets back

The guy survived, but they outlawed any nylon holsters on the facility in any class forever after that..
There is a definite reason Pro’s run kydex.
It won’t stop everything, but it will definitely be your fault if you still shoot yourself..
Don’t do that…
