Delays

I had a Nova Delay, but switching presets was a pain and the band for which I needed different delay sounds folded. So I sold it and bought a Mad Professor Deep Blue Delay.
Now I'm playing straight up hard rock, I only use delay for solos when I actually remember to switch it. Analogue dry path and three knobs. Sounds brilliant. And yes, it is in front of the amp.

Right now I using the ones in the Nova System, which I am happy with.

Apart from that I use a Carbon Copy.

On one board for my amps with loops, I have a TC electronics Nova Repeater and a Maxon AD-80. On my other board (before the amp), I have an Akai Headrush E1 and a Maxon AD-80. I have thought of getting the TC electronics flashback delay, but I am pretty happy with what I have right now.

I like to use my analog Maxon AD-80's for slapback and the digital delays longer tap tempo stuff...

I am so easy to please when it comes to delay. I have a G-Major, Xpression, Carbon Copy, G-System, Zoom GU 2.1 and an Echolution. As long as one of them is on during some of my leads I don't care WHICH one I use.

So I have 2 offers for the VMSD which is what I was looking for, waiting to see which guy has the better deal, hope to trade soon, I am alo hoping that this will be my LAST delay for some time

I'm using the TC Flashback right now. I still haven't gone through all of its possibilities/functions but I love it so far. Good stuff

Just got the TC Flashback and I think it's
Fantastic!! Very High quality delay sounds,
just needed something basic and this pedal
exceeded all my expectations. The tone print
option is very cool too.

got the empress on a straight trade, I am a huge floyd fan, home this works

I've been able, using the BOSS DD-20 to cut down to one pedal--I use it for delays, and use the "Modulation" delay for clean chorus effects.

Cheers,

Yeah I saw this at NAMM...good lord, for the money it's an insane value. I already have a TF and Axe FX, but I might just have to pick one of these things up on principle alone. :D

So I have now had, Re-20, TC Repeater, Vox Timemachine, I have the El Capistan and am now looking at the super deal by empress. Will I ever be happy? What do you guys use?
If the El Cap doesn't do it for ya, I don't know what to say...

I've been through a bunch of high end delays, and my search has ended with the T-rex Reptile

This is a great sounding delay, but I had clipping issues with it. It has an adjustable input, but if I set it so that it wouldn't clip, then it was too low volume wise. The Replica is much better IMO

Hmm...weird. The adjustable input works great with my amps. The key is to make sure to adjust the delay level as well...

Edit: it does seem to sound better in parallel loops. I liked the replica, but it was missing modulation....I love me some modulated delay :D
