Seen Whitford/St. Holmes in a small club around '82 ish in Lowell MA. Derek played 8 ft in front of me for hours. His vocals were top notch. He played an SG. From that point I had a total appreciation of his talent. Ironically I seen him 5 years earlier with Nugent but had no idea who he was at the time. Pretty much the loudest concert I'd ever heard and it was outside. (Superfest-May '77/Buffalo NY)
