Detune Effect with Mono Setup

Bump. Looking to put something in the FX loop for 'that' sound. I like the form factor of the Luxe, PS-3 or 6, and on another board the Hotone Harmony was also recommended. Not gonna spring for a H9 at this time.

Boss PS5 for something cheap in mono and they sound great, I've been running them in my W/D/W for years now. The Boss MD500 also does a quality detune in the overtone selection but it's not $100 bucks. I've thought about upgrading quite a few times to the Eventide pitchfactor but I'm satifsfied with my PS-5's.

Maybe once I heard the Eventide I may change my mind but you never know!

I've got a Digitech Luxe on the way to go into my FX loop to try to get that rich detune sound. I know there's other suggestions, but I was trying to keep it relatively inexpensive. Also looking at the Boss PS-3 which has a bit more flexibility.

Will report back my findings.

Marked to follow results. Was listening to VH's Judgement Day on the way to work this morning and decided that I want to master it. Already know the basic rhythm's but not the tapping solo part and some of the fills. Adding some detune would solidify the results for me.

Not sure if this is quite the same thing but sometimes I run an analog delay in a parallel effects loop. This particular delay (Diamond Memory Lane) has a modulation section that is somewhere in between a traditional chorus and a detuned effect.

What about this pedal?

I looked at that one. Been on many threads about this and that one seemed to have some decent feedback. The demos I heard of the Luxe sounded a little better to me, but will see when I get it.

I use the detune effect on my Mobius with my mono rig all the time. Its in the chorus block. I use it to thicken the sound of my guitar and give it some dimension and depth. A little goes a long way... unless you want to sound like EVH. It also works very well for early STP tones.

Got the Luxe today and put it in the loop of my JJ100. It sounds pretty cool. Would love some setting suggestions from anyone. I mainly just want to use it to thicken up my sound, but also try to get something similar to VH FUCK tone.

Eventide PitchFactor is closest you can get with a pedal.
