Hi,

Kindly asking for some collective wisdom and your opinions/experiences: What's the best way to connect my Diezel VH head with my DAW to use IRs?

I have a few options, as I also have a Fryette power station that can go in between.

Thanks in advance!

Any good reactive load should do it. Power station, Suhr reactive load, fractal x-load are all best in class options, all with line outs you can use to route the signal to your interface.

Also don’t quote me but I’m pretty sure you can run just the reactive load section of the Fryette without even having to power it on.

You can use the fryette powered off to be a load and route to the daw.

Thanks guys! To clarify: I have a few working connections and am more wondering about what's worked best for others with this setup to make sure I don't miss another good option as well as saving some time as sifting through connections and IRs is a rabbit hole...

You could always snag a Two Note CabM+ and send your line out from the power station into that. You get the DynIR software to download and try 3rd party virtual cab/mic setups but also the option to load and blend 2 of your own IR's if you want.

They have a stand alone software version too but I always like to have a physical version of things like that.
