Dimarzio PAF Masters Neck

Put a set of these in my Les Paul. LOVE the bridge....the neck tho. Just seems really muddy and dark. Anyone else tried these with better results? Was thinking about putting them in another guitar. Just curious if anyone else had the same experience.

I have a PAF Master in the neck of the Stratocaster below. Unquestionably my favorite neck humbucker. Bright, chimey, clear and punchy.
You mentioned yours is dark. Very strange to me. It's the opposite in this Stratocaster.
I absolutely love mine.
