I don't have an issue that people just love that old Eddie full time. Doesn't matter it was 35 years ago, it was powerful and some will embrace it forever. I dig it.

I agree!!! I still listen to the old stuff often. I mean the whole tone chasing/trying to sound like him thing. Don't get me wrong, i have EVH influences in my style, but I have never tried to recreate his sound. Well when I wanted to, I was a teenager and that was out of my reach back then as far as equipment, etc!!! I just get frustrated with EVH since he could of been much more and progressed, but that did not happen!! Oh well, at least he is living his dream!!
