i wonder how long these things are gonna last before - if and when - they become outdated, or something better comes along?
or if it's gonna be like an old amp that will always be good to go back to. i mean if it has the tone in it i would think it will always have a place, just wondering if they'd become obsolete at some point.
im still undecided about wether or not i should get some other good amp, or just get the snaxfx when i get ready to.
I with you what the hell happens in 10-20 years when these stupid computers are gone or so freekin advanced this thing turns into a freekin 8 track player??? just thinking.. at least you can always plug into good ole 115 volts and let the marshall rip... granted its a ways off but we all know how computers are advancing at light speed.. there I said it..I still want to try the fucker!

Can you set up the effects, amp simulations, eq the amp etc using a power amp/cab and then just add in the cab simulation and mic placement parameters for direct to board use without having to tweak the amp settings again or does one effect the other?
Sure you can. Make one preset as it pertains to your poweramp & cab; copy it to a second preset and add the rest. Preset 1a is for rig, Preset 1b is for DI or PA or the like. No problems.

Well I know years ago when people were using a PODXT for their live rig, they would build all of these presets for home use (playing thru headphones, etc.) and then they would be disappointed when they used the same presets live. Just wondering if the EQ, etc. is basically the same, just amplified.
