DSL100H clip

This is my Godin with a 81, the dreaded DSL Lead 2, my Crate BV4x12 with v30s and a 57. Tried that free Distressor plugin on some things. Think i much prefer other speakers than v30s with my Marshalls, especially if using a 57, might try a couple different speakers tomorrow

I dont care for the guitar tone much - it isn't horrible, but it isn't the greatest either

The drums sound fucking phenomenal though

The more I listen to it, the more I think you're right that a different speaker or mic would be best - I actually disagree that marshalls don't sound good with V30s, but in this case, with the lead 2, i think that's definitely the case

yeah its close, its just a bit much of that v30/57 thing that sounds a bit brittle to me, if i did the second tracks with a T75 or g12-65 i think it would be good, ill try that tomorrow

That's a good idea. Either that or mic the same cab with something more flat? It's just too much midrange and there's not quite enough definition.

I love the tone. Sounds tight and just the perfect amount of saturation. The first portion, i thought was maybe missing a little presence, but then you start playing another part and it is pure gold
