Nice. I would post my 2A stuff, but I had an unfortunate boating accident in early 2020 and it’s all gone. ?

You realize the US was founded due to a revolutionary uprising, correct?
Also, the writers of the constitution were sympathetic to the revolutionaries in France, at least in the first years of it. Jefferson was even supportive of the French Revolution as his own aristocratic friends were being guillotined. The constitution had been more or less written by 1785, four years before the start of the French Revolution.

This "2A is for citizens to defend their government from the people" is the most peak retard academic horseshit I've read in a good while.

Yeah, the ones that use surgical tubing are the best.

Marksman Classic II
Really a stone sling is the most gnarly but the time investment to get really good at it is much higher. I got pretty good with a wrist rocket when I didn't have anywhere to shoot pistols. I don't know if you've ever seen the cast lead little oval slugs the roman slingers were using "take that!" and the like cast into them in Latin of course....

With a little practice, you can take out vehicle windows from 50 yards with those.

I was planning on getting a more modern caliber for long range shooting. I have 7.62 NATO / 308 with a 24" barrel and a 50 BMG with a 32" barrel.

Been waiting for the 277 Fury to be available... tired of waiting, and considering 300 PRC, or 3.38 Lapua,...

edit: typos

But I didn’t write that, did I?
If that’s your takeaway, then it’s little wonder you’re struggling with simple comprehension. And probably life in general.

Let’s paraphrase the 2A which reads “…A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed...”

Bearing in mind that the colonies had just united after ridding themselves of colonial Imperial control, AND that their ally France was neck deep in revolution, then it could read:

“…A well trained and organised group of citizens who have their shit together when it comes to military warfare is what a government based on democracy and equality needs to stay functioning and viable.
This would be really helpful when internal and external threats appear to disrupt the functioning of our government. With that in mind, no one shall fucking take our citizens’ muskets and pistols…”.

How you going so far, tiger?

That ain’t paraphrased teacher…?

So how is that so different? The militia aspect?

I really like guns. Guns make me happy. Right now I want another shotgun. I'm either getting an m4 clone made by the bloody turk, or a keltec ks7. Cause my eyes are getting worse and I prefer up close and personal. Plus 00 buck is an outstanding threat stopper. And I have my own militia. They all have my last name and call me dad. I ain't joking. I bought my daughter a rape whistle...it's a diamondback ar-10 in .30HATE with a 16" barrel. Shocked at how accurate it is with that short barrel. She loves it.

I think this argument is convenient for protecting gun rights, but doesn’t embody the entire document. I don’t intend to steer this convo away from guns and into a rabbit hole, but I think we can all agree that something like the amendment to let women also vote was pretty important and not utter horseshit.
I wonder how that was originally phrased in the constitution (women voting)?
Point being, some laws and restrictions were simply implied at the time. It took an amendment to actually make it law.
IMO making an amendment to the constitution is not in the same territory as changing what was originally there all along.

Dude. Don’t go with no turkish shotgun. If you can’t scrape up enough for the M4 go for a 1301 Tactical. I have one. It’s fantastic. Or the Mossberg 940.

Nothing wrong with the KelTec. I have a KSG25. It’s a beast. Zombie hordes don’t stand a chance.

I’m a shotgun junkie. I honestly have no idea how many I have, but it’s more than a few.
