Egnater Amp Seminar?

I have really been debating on doing this. The only thing Im worried about is how much will I actually learn by doing the seminar?.What I mean is that I know that I will certainly know more after taking the class then I did before taking the class but I was wondering if I will only know how to build one type of amp or will I understand how to hop up the gain on other amps etc etc?

hopping up gain can be a tricky proposition. How many preamp stages are in the amp in question? Are there any stages not being used in the pre tubes available? etc. Do you want to try subbing a gain stage for the cathode follower before the tone stack? etc.

And yes, you could probably add another gain stage out of V2, but the verdict is out on what it will do to the tone, since you'll be going straight to the tonestack from the new gainstage instead of the normal buffering of the cathode follower in the 2nd triode of V2.

You just need a couple of parts to do this. like a plate resistor for example.

V3 is the phase inverter, so don't mess with that.

I'm up north not too far from IM. I would be quicker for me to get to Chicago than it would be to get to where Egnator is located. I didn't think there were many pasty shops down state, it's a UP invention. Mmm, that sounds good for lunch.

The Pasty shop at Christmas time sells a Christmas pasty, that has like Turkey, cranberry sauce, sage and onion stuffing, potatos and even more that i cant quite remember! I havent even dared to try one yet... maybe next Xmas il give it a go

Great seminar and a great amp. I attended last year - that amp is in my regular rotation
Make sure you hit the Redcoat Tavern - great burgers, their Shepards pie kicks ass, and they have an awesome beer selection

Id love to but Im not sure I will have the $$$. Im doing great with killing the credit card debt and I really should use the money on that. I also have a wedding to go to that's going to cost me since I am the Best man with Brother kage lol! With that said I might see if I can off some gear to raise the cash!!
