EVH Iconic, short WDW test

When I was amp shopping a couple years back I was surprised by how much more I liked the Iconic than the regular 5153. It felt much more open and Marshall-y without the crazy compression that bugged me on the 5153. The dealbreaker for me was not being able to remotely switch between Clean and Overdrive modes on Channel 1.

I had all 3 versions of 5153 50w and I do not miss them :) The best IMO was the regular 6L6.

Sounds great and I love the Iconic and the OG 5150/6505 as my favorite amps of the series. With the 6534+ in close 3rd place.

How much gain are you running on the amp itself versus how you have the King of Clone dialed in? It's got great clarity and chewiness to it

Sounds good. What did you use to record the audio is that your phone? It would've been cool if you had just moved it around to a different position just to hear how it sounds from two angles instead of one.

Gain is about halfway on the amp (red channel, no burn) and the pedal is just boosting it ( standard boosting - drive at 0, level at max).

Its just an Iphone with a small Shure MV88 mic, for clearer room sound.
