Looking forward to the pics!
They look like....the ubiquitous EVH striped guitars....?

I think they have a vintage width F nut at 1-5/8" and frets are not jumbo, if I recall correctly.

All the specs on the web sites have it at 1 11/16ths and jumbo frets. I sure hope that's the case as I can't stand the Wolfgangs, any version due to that nut size and the smaller frets.

In this vid the dude clearly says that the guitars have the Wolfgang neck back shape and you can easily see from the closeup that the frets are not jumbo! The frets are obviously not as small as the EVH Wolfgang, but look to be about the size of the Peavey Wolfgang.

My info was second hand; sorry about that. Maybe I should do my own homework next time.

Yeah I hear ya! I guess Brad will have to clear this up....

For what it's worth the one I played at NAMM this year had jumbo frets. Killer guitar.

This is the first EVH Stripped delivered anywhere (first 50). I did not have it in my hands long as it went from the Fedex truck to its owner within an hour. Jumbo Frets, excellent fit and finish.

That looks really nice!

I'm tempted to buy one but I'll be damned if I have to learn 'Eruption' all over again just cos' I'm playing such an iconic guitar

Hmm...Floyd Rose 100? I would have thought an Original Floyd.

It's the EVH officially licensed Floyd.

This guitar should be pretty killer, and at $899 you can't go wrong. Thank 'ED' they have the easy access truss rod wheel. I would prefer an all access heel/neckjoint as well(why isn't this standard on every guitar made?)

I'll be buying this wht/blk color & spraying the headstock black. Don't like the way the logo looks on it...

so it should be Ed's improvements on the original floyd vs a cheaper made floyd?

Uhm.... maybe not. It pays to be 30 minutes from Fender. I got a couple in on 4/29. Took everything I had not to play them and get my gunk on em before shipping them out last Tuesday :D

By the way, did you check out the packaging on these? I think they are packed like crap with 4 inches of free space in that box that the cardboard cocoon around them can move up and down in. I think we are all going to have to get in there and bolster the padding or there are going to be a lot of damaged guitars in shipping. I'm sure Musicians Friend and the big stores will be sure and do that

I wouldn't worry about it. Ed has never attached his name to any piece of gear(guitar or amps) that has been substandard. EVH Musicman, Peavey Wolfgang, Fender/Charvel art series, EVH Wolfgang & all the 5150 amps are all quality gear.

I don't think you can put a $200 Floyd and a $150 pickup on a guitar with a street price of $899. The pickup is there. Just pop that Floyd off and sell it on Ebay for $100 and throw a real Floyd Original on there for about $75 on top of what you get for the stock trem if you want.

Any word on what's under the pickguard? I'm thinking heavily of one of these, but may want to add a neck single...

Porter Cable router. Doesn't matter what's under the pickguard. My local repair guy charges $45 to route for another pickup.
