Wow, so he sold it to someone else, hoping YOU didn't drop it and do other damage in the mean time!? Bet he's a mass buyer and seller, didn't even see the guitar before sending it to you!

Im always honest and up front
THIS!!! I recently received an amp on a trade, and after asking specific questions about conditions, and receiving assurances, I get the amp with two power tubes broken and rolling around in the amp, a bunch of scratchy pots(which doesn't just happen in shipping), and what I believe to be quite a bit of cap noise. Now I get to have said amp serviced (@$200+/-). :gethim:Some ppl need a swift kick to the nuts.

Well, did you get a fair market price on that guitar? Or did you get a hell of a deal? If it were me I would weigh out the price I paid versus what it is actually worth in said condition. Either way yes file a claim on that guy for false advertising, but if you are going to gig with it and put similar markings on it yourself over time, it may not be worth the hassle of a dispute, especially if you got a really good deal on it. Case in point, I got a pair of 1977 G12M Blackbacks, and were packaged poorly - just zip tied the two speakers together and tossed them in a non padded box - and the end result was the plastic covers were both cracked, and a small portion of one of the magnets was chipped off. They still functioned well and sound awesome, but I didn't fight it much because I got a killer deal on them and I was ok with their condition versus price I paid. Just my opinion, though.
I paid $1100 which is around the price of a mint one. The blue book has the value of it in this condition as around $675( had my friends shop grade it and look it up on blue book) Now I know blue book isn't the be all of guitar values as you have to account for market price etc etc, but going by that not a fair price in this condition. Like I said, Im just going to get my money back and buy the Axcess that I had in my hands the other day so I already know what to expect
the way i see it he either owes you $1100 or if you wanted to keep the LP he owes you about $650 back.
I totally know how you feel as a guy who myself just recently got a guitar that was not as described in the ebay ad.
Like i said if you do like the guitar the easiest thing would be to settle and get a partial refund
but he probably wont go for that so file a claim for a full refund and start over.

Relic?

Sucks. Dispute it. Asshats and douchebags are everywhere, make him make it right.

so he finally set up the shipping label. Only issue I have is he originally sent it fedex but the return label is USPS? Am I about to get scammed? I hate this shit...

Called ebay to clarify things. The seller provided shipping label means he's responsible for it, meaning if he didn't insure it its his own fault. They said once its delivered I get my money back no matter what. They said just repackage it in his original packaging and send it away.

Guy has had his shit back since thursday and still hasn't refunded me. I fucking hate douchebags. Ebay said no matter what I will get my money back but I have to give him up to 6 days to issue a refund before they step in. What a horrible experience and I will NEVER buy off eBay again.
