Best one by far. The aggression is the most intense, some of the best riffs, and the best guitar tone on any of the albums to date, and IMHO one of the best heavy tones to date, out of everything ever released by any band.

The first 5 Metallica records are fantastic. My vote for best though is Puppets, hands down. No Mustaine riffs and they had really jelled as a band. I would say it's their most musical album.

I like hearing the bass, but that's ton of bass. Somewhere between that and the nearly zero bass on the album would be better to my ear. Definately brings the heavies though with more bass.

Dave mustaines riffs were pretty done by rtl imo.
Endgame is a horrible piece of shit, death magnetic rapes the shit out of it, if for daves horrid vox alone. Metallica still rips live and hetfields voice, while weak in comparison to of old, is still better than megadave has ever sounded. Dm songs are a lot better live as well.

Hard to decide between AJFA and MOP for me, both albums are completely amazing. RTL would be 3rd.
