Yeah go waste other people's time..... wasting your own time and energy being lame.... doing nothing worth jack shit or worth anyones time.....

See how many fucks I give my guy and well have a great useless life..... being useless.... doing nothing..... just wasting time and energy being a sorry lame.....

Me I don't have time for that shit like you do Nor do I care to waste more of my time with with people like you.
Okay "chef."

Some old timers here still say “ruff” instead of roof, but that’s about it I think.
Half the town is NYC transplants anyways so I hear a lot of that accent
@jdel77 was giving me shit for not having traveled to foreign countries before but sometimes I think there are like ten or fifteen different countries within the US because the parts of Mass @billsbigego is at sound like a completely foreign place to me the way he describes it. I went to Philly once, that place is nothing like down here. I think where it's colder people are angrier on average cause people are trying to stay warm by being big mad.

For sure. I often hear Europeans that visit the US say that each state almost feels like its own country. The Mass accent is wild though. My sister in law is from the north shore and half her family has a thicc accent and the other doesn’t even have a semblance of one.

Worcester, Maine and Rhode Island are just variations of the theme it seems

Might be something to that. At least in the urban areas. It's odd that everyone says how bad Memphis is. Every time I've been there it was great. Everyone was so nice. And I used to go there a couple times a year. St. Louis is a completely different story.

Interesting. I visited Memphis on my honeymoon in '01 to have a look while I was considering a move there. I found it kinda rough though it does have some friendly people. Compared to Nashville and Austin it was a much rougher place though. Much rougher. You're coming from St. Louie though so I can see how you might see it like that. I have found Nashville and Austin to be among the most friendly cities I've ever been. But the most friendly area in the whole country is south MS, no contest. But there are no big cities there either, lol.

Maybe the next best thing to traveling to take selfies and shit.......is meeting other people from different parts of the world on a forum or whatever like here..... or just in different situations in life than you.....

I mean probably the most I've gotten from college or just in general meeting people is talking to people from different places of the country or the world and just talking and shit..... Nothing crazy or complicated really. More often than not if you just talk to people, leave your BS at the door and just kick it and say whats up...... its not complicated or rocket science to just talk to people about shit..... people have more in common than not.......

Most people are more cool than not IME too :dunno:

Jackson Mississippi fucking sucks.

I haven't been to Memphis since Alice in Chains was at the Beale Street Music Festival about 10 years ago, but I was always very confused by the fact that I could be a white boy walking around downtown after dark and all the homeys I ran across were totally cool, friendly and helpful. That shit absolutely never happens in STL.

Jackson is central MS but I would agree, it has big problems.

It pretty much ruined Mississippi for me. Which is a drag. I wanted to like it. Mississippi Kid and all that.

It’s like Glock. I really wanted to love them. I hate the grip angle though and the stock triggers suck.

When I was younger I did visit NYC once and Washington DC and well I'm not going to say that wasn't cool or that going to see some nice places and enjoying them wasn't cool. Maybe one of the nicest places Ive ever been and IMO a place everyone should visit is the Capital and Washington DC.

From George Washingtons House, to the WWll or Korean and Vietnam Memorial to Arlington Cemetry or the Linconln Memorial or the Smithsonian IMO there are a lot of special places there especially Arlington Cemetery...... it's just awesome and IMO a really special place.

If I could visit again I would.

Still, it's the equivalent to me visiting St. Louis and then saying Missouri sucks. Those blue counties in MS are the ones to avoid. Clarksdale has had over a dozen shootings in a years time. The population is like 15k. Do the math and you have a bigger shithole than where I grew up, and that is really saying something. I've become convinced that the Mississippi river is the source of the blues because every city on it is basically some variation of a shithole full of assholes and/or corruption.

A lot of history for sure. It’s just a shame it’s such a crime ridden shithole.

That’s true. But if I wasn’t raised here I probably would think Missouri sucks. I sure as fuck don’t understand why anyone would come to visit St Louis unless they had family here. Occasionally I run into people here on vacation and I just think “ What the fuck is wrong with you man”.

I hear that a lot and maybe that should be worked on but regardless when I went being used to the same or worse around LA and SoCal..... I found it to be a pretty special place and the history/culture really spoke to me I feel from the memorials, cemeteries and museums.

This was more than 20 years ago so who knows how much it's changed. I was like 13 or 14 :dunno:

I mean it's hard to explain but it's just a special place IMO and it's a place everyone should check out to see what's up and just appreciate the country and things in general we may sometimes take for granted.

I used to live in LA. I can say DC is a multitude worse than LA. DC is more like STL or Baltimore or Philly.

When you grow up in a place like that you get a sixth sense about the shit going on around you. I hate California on principle but I would live in LA way before I would move to DC.

Missouri looks kinda like it sucks to me for the most part but the southern part along the Arkansas border in the ozarks looks killer. Say what you will but I have been through Branson and there are definitely worse cities a guy could choose to live.

100 percent agree. California would be much better than DC. After seeing Philly I wouldn't go there again unless there is money involved. I will say I have heard that DC has a decent blues scene but I would have to live in WV or something cause Maryland wouldn't cut it for me.
