The Grind doesn't act like a boost at all in my opinion, its like a trippy EQ type of pedal. It basically boost and removes certain frequencies is how I understand it. Also I asked Mike in his FB group a minute ago if he could confirm that the 33 isn't a Grind with a channel switch, he says:

Well, I guess you should play one at some point. Funny how Meshuggah loves them enough to be the only pedal they use and leave on all the time, but the handbuilt by Mike Fortin channel-switching boost pedal isn't good enough for some.
