Don’t really understand how this fits their portfolio. The Axe doesn’t need this at all as it doesn’t t need to go through an power amp. What is the use case in their ecosystem? Or is it just unrelated?

I think it fits pretty well. I use a Suhr Reactive Load today and then feed that output into my AxeFx for Cab sims and effects. So many creative routing combinations, reamping and recording can be done.
My own personal take, I think their cab sims is a decent market they didn't want to lose by having other companies create Reactive Loads that lead into addon products that would compete directly with the Axe lineup. I think a Reacive Load integrated into a Kemper or Line 6 or AxeFx would be incredible.
