Speaker cable was barely plugged in. Now I hit a chord and it makes a sound like a train flying by… not sure how to use that sound in a musical context. Am I fucked in my taint with a pineapple ? In all my years I have never had this happen. Fuck….

so far I haven't done this, I think your output transformer could be fried, if nothing before it was sacrificed, could be other collateral damage too, caps, power tubes?

I once forgot to plug the speaker in a V90 combo back in after unplugging it from a 4x12
Thought I fried something serious like a transformer but only blew an internal fuse inside the chassis,not the one that is easily accessible from the outside

Wayne can call it the "Pineapple Express". Instead of a Tone knob, can be a Taint knob. On the side of the pedal it can say "Speaker Cable Taint Plugged In"....

When I don't have a speaker cab connected to one of my tube amp heads, I use a piece of blue painters tape over the input, with "No Cab" written on it.

I also keep my gear unplugged when not using it so it doesn't get fried. My neighbor's house was hit by lightning several years ago, and it fried everything that was plugged in...another neighbor's house was struck by lightning and the roof caught on fire.

I'm more forgetful as I age, so I try to limit my exposure to it...now I may need to label the amp output and cabs, "Be sure cable is all the way in"

I have everything in a tiny room and I had a shorter cable. It worked but it didn’t have much slack. I probably moved my stuff and pulled it out and didn’t notice. Oh well. Lesson learned.
