Friedman vs Cameron

[LP Freak]

[maddnotez]

Friedman - Respectable guy who has built an empire delivering some killer products starting from the ground up while working with some Legends.

Cameron - Well.

jkjk - The Friedman sounds much better in this comparison to me.

[frontline205]

I like the Cameron on the first one. I think it's the saturation, but I liked the Friedman on the second.

[S̷͖͑m̵͎͂á̵̺s̸͚̈́h̴̬̑]

Friedman is the better sounding amp here. I didn't want it to be, but it was.

[RaceU4her]

Gain and bass need to be backed off a ton on the Cameron

[splawner]

Friedman for the win!

[psychodave]

Friedman for the win!

What about what you dubbed as the “Cameron Snarl” .... ?

[Marshall Law]

I think the Volumes were lower on the Cameron, but I like the Friedman better.

[psychodave]

Gotta admit, that Cameron doesn’t sound that good. ? Bottom end is way too much.

Either way, I have no dog in the fight as I don’t own any Friedman or Cameron amps. ?

[SBlue]

This Cameron amp in particular sound mushy and bloated. Have no idea why. Nothing like the other Camerons I've heard, owned or still own.
The Friedman sounded very good.

Doesn’t really even sound like a Cameron to me

Yeah, not really.
Friedman amp really sounds good in the clip.

[S̷͖͑m̵͎͂á̵̺s̸͚̈́h̴̬̑]

Yeah. First thing I wondered was, Is that even a cameron?

[MetalHeadMike]

I look forward to Monday's arrival

[VanMalmsteen]

Friedman sounds like it would fit a mix better. The Cameron has a ‘softer’ or less abrasive sound here. I like the Friedman.

[scottosan]

Both going through an IR will make them sound more similar than they are. It’s practically modelling. Room mice them both snd it will be much different

[midnightlaundry]

Which amp design is more original??

Hmm..

Agreed!

[Donnie B.]

Gain and bass need to be backed off a ton on the Cameron

Agreed but I wouldn't say a ton.
That first Friedman clip is a tone I could hang with for a long time.
Can I borrow it to capture with my new toy???

[SBlue]

I look forward to Monday's arrival

Did you buy the Cameron or the Friedman?
