I do think in the west there is such a level of comfort a lot of people are able to "pull themselves up by their bootstraps" since society is comparatively comfortable and wealthy compared to previous eras throughout time so there is still less reliance on the Lord in many more cases than in the past. It's happened on both sides of the aisle but one side seems to have completely lost it's moral bearings and actually turned what used to be considered evil into something they have portrayed as virtuous. If your "light" is darkness, how great the darkness!

That's good to hear. I am doing well although I'm not thrilled about a busy week of labor ahead. I guess I am thankful that as it stands tonight at least I should be physically capable of accomplishing it.

I agree. A number of different tasks. Mowing, finishing some minor bathroom details, cleaning and organizing, getting ready for deer season, among other stuff. Even if I accomplish that there is always more work than there is time to get to it all, never mind putting some time in on the guitar in preparation for next weekends events.
