Just curious... what 24.75" shredders are you looking at? They seem to be few and far between. My first really nice guitar was a Charvel Fusion, 24.75" 24 frets. I'd love to find something like that but neck-thru. BC Rich comes to mind, I think Caparison. I'd bet ESP Custom Shop would make one, but I've been told Jackson won't. Anway, just thought I'd ask in case there's something I haven't come across yet.

They are the few, the proud..........could be a Charvel or Jackson Fusion, Charvel 750XL, might consider a legit Nightswan, or more recently the LTD Andy LaRocque (bonus for neck thru and SS frets + purple finish).

I just fired up an old GK 250RL yesterday for the first time in over a year. I paid $250 for it. Holy Geezus, that's a lot of amp for the money. I ran it in stereo in a 2x12. Just amazing. And, of course, it doesn't have to be cranked to shake-the-house volume to get good tone. Mrs. Lee goes into the office tomorrow, so I'll be running the SLO-100 at full tilt.

I believe modelers will come along. I think the options for playing them loud at home is limited, and that has always been my issue.

I use modelling on my computer to record quickly a song idea. But when i want to decide if it sounds good or not, i play it at volume through a tube amp.

THe best recording situation i had was a lineout of my wizard. I could put thst into the daw, and i had an IR that i tweaked to sound indistinguishable from my cab micd. Then i could play at volume while recording, so I got the feel for the playing, and then i would listen back and it had perfectly captured my tone

Sell two or three amps to thin the herd and pay for my SLO-100 and that's about it. No more buying.
You have two of my favorite amps! Ever run the 67 and the SLO30 in a wet / dry? It's my guilty pleasure with the SLO on Crunch mode

Another impulse buy already...MIJ E Series Strat.

Already ordered some BKP pickups and trying to find the right pots/wiring for it now. Also going to order an Ilitch noise cancelling back plate, and a Warmoth pick guard with only two knobs (master tone).

All right.... rework of the studio is done. Time to STOP and record the next 5 albums
After damn near 40 years of collecting / building / collecting some more / saving / trading / this is my pinnacle

Did I mention 40 years?

I may sell a Modern and a Friedman if the market recovers and sell more when I start building guitars again. For now, this is my paradise:

I doubt we're going to see a sellers market any time soon. Only those things in really high demand that are scarce seem to be getting top dollar.

I don't know how true this is. Usually when I run out of motivation, I buy some new gear and inspiration strikes.

I have far too many choices as it is. Sometimes, I just have to put stragglers back in their cases and limit my attention to a few guitars at most. I sometimes record songs using only one guitar throughout as you would have to live.
