You can see in this video he says it is the low wind MM pickup, with hex poles i.e. the 1400 model.
I bought one last week, still not installed but will give it a try in the future.

Is it low wind though? Weren't they a Super Distortion knockoff around 13-14k ?
The MM vintage 1300 were around 13K ohms, the new reissue 1300 is 14K ohms. Yes, It's been said the Mighty Mite 1300's were basically their version of a Dimarzio Super Distortion.

The MM vintage 1400 were the same magnet/pickup just less winds, they were around 9K ohms, the new reissue 1400 is 9-10K ohms. My reissue 1400 measures 9.95K ohms.

Some say the vintage 1300 and 1400 pickups sound slightly better but the made in USA reissues are damn close. The 1400's are a very very aggressive, super crunchy ceramic magnet PAFish pickup and is actually a cool pickup IMHO. That Ossie Ahsen pickup shootout from a couple of years ago shows what they sound like and this video is the 1300 higher output ones.

I love my 1400. Sounds fantastic with my 5150 iconic 15. Love my 1300 for less paf tone fir sure!

Most of his guitar close ups with him live on stage lately he's using his Arcane Mr. Scary pickups. You can see the engraving on the pickup.

At least for the 15 minutes when the video was made... he changes gear constantly

Yep, George the old gear whore... but the point of interest for me was that George decided to install an old MM1400 into his old original Tiger guitar out of all the pickups he has played and is currently playing on stage live.........:dunno:

He often changes pickups in some of his guitars, including the Tiger.

I asked Google AI, and got this information:

While Randy Zacuto founded the company, Seymour Duncan did indeed play a critical role in designing and winding the original Mighty Mite pickups in the 1970s.

Here is the revised breakdown based on historical accounts from the industry:
R&D and Winding: Before launching his own brand in 1976, Seymour Duncan worked with Randy Zacuto to perform Research and Development (R&D) and winding for Mighty Mite.

Wayne Charvel’s Account: Luthier Wayne Charvel has corroborated this, stating that Zacuto hired Seymour Duncan—who was then making bridge saddles and rewinding pickups—to specifically create the Mighty Mite pickup line.

The "Motherbucker" & 1300 Series: Many of the "OG" high-output models, like the 1300 and 1400 series, are believed to have been influenced or directly designed by Seymour during this period.

Manufacturing: While Seymour provided the designs and early winding, later mass production was often handled by outside companies like Turbo-Jet in Southern California.

It is a significant piece of guitar history because shortly after his work with Mighty Mite, Seymour Duncan moved to Santa Barbara to establish his own company, which became the industry leader it is today.

He's playing through his current rig, his current ears, and on his current gigs. Apparently works for him.

All I know is that The Hunter is one of my all-time fave metal pickups, likewise for the Kami series guitars, including the excellent LTDs.

Yep , here’s a show from a few weeks ago and the Tiger has a different pickup

But this is also a current show and the bumblebee Charvel he’s using has what could be that MM pickup

May I know is the exciter pickup rename after the Hunter pickup?

Some people say it is. I have no idea....

But if you buy it as The Hunter, it's from SD Custom only and costs way more. I have one in my Kami4, so that solved that problem.
