George admitted in a clinic that there are projects/things he has done for money, and most others he does because it's something he wants to do. KXM,T&N, Infidels!Shadowtrain are not projects that are gonna make him a ton of $$. He knows these aren't gonna tour, and tour/merch seems to be where most the money is. He does these projects because it's something that he wants to do. And if he dis make a bunch of money good do him. He's playing music for a living, and I know I'd do anythingi could to make that happen and continue.

I don't get the "he hasn't done anything notable in x years" comments. Comments like that come from short sighted, bratty guitarists. Guys like Steve Stevens and George Lynch, whether you like them or not, played significant roles in the world of rock guitar. They may not be burning up the airwaves these days, but most of the rock on radio now is bullshit anyway.

This..bands nowadays have little staying power. Lots of one hit wonders. I do like modern rock and metal, but there probably won't be many iconic bands/musicians anymore. So what if these guys are still trying to make a living in music? I would...if I could..

Wasn't it GL that said he never wanted to be a casualty like Page ? He never wanted to be at the level he was at in the 80s and then not be there ? (I'm talking technique here, not album sales) I've said it before...I LOVED Lynch back in the day...but I can't stand to listen to what he's put out for years...and that's NOT bratty. I respect what Lynch was, I just wish he still had the same standards and put out great music with fantastic solos and tone to die for. If he did that I would be all over it all over again...

Problem with Lynch and all the other 'stars'.....is they have cameras and media following them all day.
Bet the guy cant even go take a piss without someone trying to talk or record him.
His lively hood is based on his gear and what ever he does. So to make a buck cant blame the guy.
If I had to rely on my music creations or talents......I would of been homeless at the age of 20.

Any musician who can make a very good living from playing music is a success.
It sure beats having to go to work everyday where we're not be paid to play our instruments to make money.
You criticize him for not being trend and in rotation, and then you criticize him for playing any genre or style where he does it for money.
That's an untenable position you put him in, and only serves as a method for constant criticism by you.
