Thank you all ;)

Please ask me here :
What gauge would you recomend me for drop C or C# ? For 25.5 scale.
I would prefer heavier gauge cause I hit strings like a madman.

I'd go with 12s. You'll have to do adjust the neck relief, action and intonation though.

Are you sure that 12 will be ok in Drop C ?
And of course I know that i will must adjust relief etc when changing strings but thanks for remember me that - that's nice from you.

My only concerns is that my neck won't carry that so much tension ... and ... booom

Traditional Jazz players often use 12 gauge sets in standard tuning :D

You could go with an 11 set as well. The low C might be a little loose though. There might be some specific light top/heavy bottom sets for that. I'm not into drop tuning, so I can't really recommend you specific sets for that :)

Yeah , I saw somewehere that SRV used 12 or 13 ... OMFG - that will by such a pain for my fingers ...

What a pitty that you can't recomend me exactly set , my experience with drop tunings is equal to 0 ...

the only time I have ever used DR strings was for 10-52 gauge on my ibanez at the time, which is teh exact same guage you are asking about. I thought they were great. Never broke a string and they never gave me any trouble. I havnt used them in about 4 or 5 years now though since I sold the guitar and never drop tune anymore.

The ones I used are on that page, they are the BT-10's

I was using them for Drop C, Drop D, D standard, Standard and found them to be a comfortable gauge for all of those tunings.
