I bought a LP Custom that came stock with Burstbuckers...I could believe how small, plastic-like and tinny they sounded. Want a bright, lean and mean humbucker for your Gibson? Duncan Custom 100%.

I can't even describe the tone, other than very non-musical, strange, grainy, and just bad. Especially under high gain. To me, they're unusable. Garbage pickup.

Grainy is a very good descriptor. Not a fan either.

The Gibson 70's pickup is a hi gain/output humbucker and very tight and balanced. The name is not even close to the actually behavior of the pickup. The description however is spot on. Modern music tight low end, etc. It measures at 15K and uses A5 magnet.
