it aint soup yet but Im working on it lol! Quick and to the point and all in fun! I should have some real clips soon!!

It sounds good brotha!! After last nights gig, I have amps on the brain. Thinking about scrapping everything and starting over. Just don't know which way to go. I need somewhat dirty for rythm then dirtier and louder for leads. Thinking about VM100 with eq in the loop for the lead bump. Maybe a Rocket Fuel out front to make it squeal like a pig. Or just mess with the DSL some more. I can get a pretty good tone out of it now. Fuck, it just never ends...
Sup Bro!!

I wasn't going to post this clip because it was just for fun and i didn't want anyone judging the cali mod based on this clip... but I will say that I got that sound in minutes and the clip will give you an idea that for spending next to no time Miking it up, i got a workable tone! With that said, Id sell what you can and start over bro because no matter how you slice it, if you keep on tryiong pedals, you are going to spend money!!. I see that you dig the VM tones the Jim is getting and at least you know what you will get should you follow Jims lead. Ive watched Jim get that sound over and over again and he has the formula down (so if you dig it..you can get it!
The search never end bro because even when you find something you dig....your still gonna want to experiment lol :d

Awesome tone Ralph!!! Sounds massive!

Its got those killer mids that we both go for, i can hear it big time allover that clip! Thats why im finally 110% happy with my 800, the gain/feel/midrange is all spot on to what i love. And i know for sure if you plugged into my rig, you would feel at home straight away!

Gimme the lowdown on the settings/switch positions used, i'll be interested to try the same on the 800
Thanks bro!! I actually went to my condo to record when my girlfriend went out because of you! I went to try out the crispy cream pedal for you but I could find it  I actually had it at my girlfriends house so I left it here not knowing that it was here what a PITA

With that said, I dig the tone but its no way near as badaas as i can get it lol This amp SCHMOOOOOKEs!! The settings were all toggle switches to the left and the mids on 6 treble on 4 bass on 4 resonance midway presence on 4 greenbacks and ya done!! I didn't even take the time to point the mic in the right place. did I mention how much I love this amp? :D

Hey Ralph!

No worries about the Crispy Cream pedal, anytime you get a chance to try it just let me know. I'm in no hurry! :)

That's funny, our settings on the dials and switches are almost identical :D Except i run the depth/resonance lower and the treble a tad higher. But then again, I'm using H30's which do sound a little smoother on the top end compared to Greenbacks. If i get a chance, I'll try the 800 with the Greenbacks this week. I had to move the cab into our garage, and now i cant get to it.. My dad practically buried it amongst all the other crap haha!!

On the switch under the MV, is the left position the most gainy/saturated? or is that the right position?

I am thinking that I made a good choice sending out when I did ;)

I even went for the Fortin name plate, even that is overbuilt as it is solid billet aluminum and cnc'd

I am going to buy that new Zoom camcorder with the H4 mics from greazygeo and hope to make a vid of the whole w/d/w sickness

The Fortin plate looks killer, i saw that on Diezelmonster's Hulk 800 mod and thought it was a nice finishing touch!

Im actually thinking of buying one of those Zoom camcorders too. If you get one soon, let me know what you think? If it turns out to be really cool, then i'll grab one!
