All that’s missing is the glow of a modeler in the corner!
Enjoy, brother, small comforts tend to pay off far better than the things we think we should be affording ourselves!
I think he's more of a Kemper guy

I'm happy you've decided to share more of yourself VBF
I think that means that you've been here long enough that you can trust us more
Trust who more?

Kempers give off a romantic glow.

Not a fan of offset boxes. We are people of barrels (and pitmaster iq oxygen detectors).
Congratulations brother, I know that has to be a great feeling. After a decade without a place to set up the music gear I finally finished up all the work on my main living room interior and have this nice corner for music, recording, videos, etc.
I suppose if you gotta buncha spare rooms in your place this aint much to look at but for a guy with 1br+loft its a big deal.

Underrated comment lmfao. The shoe closet must be an outside structure ...........
Don't mistake my bitching for complaining, lol.Hang tough bro. It took me ten years, many cold winters in an uninsulated cabin shell so cold some days I couldn't practice guitar. Last winter was my first fully insulated winter. Prior to getting the shell closed in I lived in a disgusting single wide that had so many pipe leaks in it that it effectively had no running water. I ran a camp hot water heater through a hole in the floor to the tub in the disgusting bathroom, and did dishes on the ground, often in 50 degree weather. I hauled water from the spigot to the house in five gallon buckets so we could flush the toilet. Yeah I could've spent 50-60k on a new double wide....and still been paying for it. Instead I paid as I went and am debt free other than owing my old man a few thousand bucks for some of the cedar inside....
Take good care of your boy, that's more important than any stupid jam space. My son ultimately wired my house and helped me get the roof on it! We all played a part in building this together.
There are a whole lot of guys here I love and pray for regularly.![]()
Definitely didn't take it for complaining. I know how it goes though, not having a normal place to set your stuff up. For a decade I just had a place I could stash my stuff after a gig, and would have to drag it all out for testing. Now I can just plug in. Fortunately my son has never really been annoying and mostly does what I tell him (unbelievable). The worst I can think of was when I had to pick him up from high school when he foolishly took the carolina reaper challenge, LOL. I gotta good laugh out of the deal at least. As for the wife, she plays guitar too so no issues there. She even has put up with my beginner level trumpet playing and my son shrieking on his G bugle if you can believe that. Bless her.Don't mistake my bitching for complaining, lol.
I'm grateful for all the gear ive been fortunate enough to acquire, and the home I store it all in.
The kid? He's 13, so naturally I go back and forth between wanting to strangle him, and wondering if he will make it.
But, at least he's past the annoying phase.
Even moreso, I'm grateful to my wife, who tolerates my noise. Every. Stinkin'. Day.
My new mancave is gonna be sick when done.
Its gonna have a fire place!
