There are others, too lazy to post them.

I hate the EZ trem with passion and I also hate the fact that the new Ibanez Prestiges have bad fretwork etc. Prices are insane for their quality. This is coming from a hardcore Ibanez fan...

Yeah their prices are nuts these days, I cant believe they still sell JEMs these days. I have zero time with the EZ and I dont really trust many of the reviews on jemsite as most of those guys are collectors and fanbois. I need to find out what the hate is about.

I still love that DY though

whoa.

I love those new contoured bodies!

like sharp ebmm, in a way!

I mean, I don't care if the fretwork's not perfect on under 1k priced guitars but if the same thing goes for 2,5k priced guitars then it starts to be irritating and ridiculous.

Ditto...

I have more Ibanez than anything, and I will keep buying the older ones.

Nothing in the current line up appeals to me at all.

$1900 for a brand new J-Custom that is every bit as good (and in some departments, like fretwork - better) as a Suhr or Anderson seems a very good deal to me...

The EZ works great for me. I don't get why people don't like it...

I agree, JEMs are not J-Custom though and are more expensive for no appearant reason other than Vai
I have not tried the EZ yet, would like to at some time.

FIXED BRIDGE JEMS AND 9frigginTHOUSAND DOLLAR "special" version artist models (ala Gilbert, Satch) is what I think put me and I'll bet a few others off IBZ this year... Theyve taken total advantage of the dollar/yen fact and are simply abusing at this point. Plus, IMHO, some of the designs, inlays, color combinations, look like theyre slowly running out of new ideas and are making the mistake of changing something simply to have something to do.... Dont fix sumthin tha 'aint broke....

it saddens me.. in the good place...

Scott, someone at Jemsite heard from a "very reliable source" that there'll be a PAW version JEM released. Not to mention a new material/pattern one.

EDIT: the thread at Jemsite was almost a month old.

I saw that, I think PAW will be 20 years old hence that rumor flying around. Also lots of talk about some new trem on it, of course que the stupid prices

Now if they offer a FTLOG UV that sucker will be $10,000

The finishes on the last three are really cool. They have a good number of new 7s coming out too and all the S series guitars are being upgraded to 24 frets.

The last straw for me was the Gilbert Fireman. I was so ready to finally get that guitar, and then it was $7000.

Sorry, but no guitar is worth that to me. Especially a current production model.
