Hey V,

What is Adam Jones??

j
My favorite guitarist...uses a '90's Blueface VH4 and '70's Marshal Superbass via Radial splitter to some acclaim for the band TOOL.

EDIT: Just wanted to get this out there, maybe get some feedback from the Peters, tell me if my assumption is correct, etc. etc.
Close V. but no cigar.

Man what a beautiful warm Saturday here in sunny San Diego filling the fresh air with lovely blissful tones thrown out by my master piece - Herbert.

Well, if it's not there to fill the looser, raunchier, gnarlier, gnawing styles of play, what kinda amp is it?

I believe I went on to describe what I was hearing in the Messe clips - which is more or less the same as I've described above - and Stapfer did indeed say it was a close description to what was going on with the Hagen :dunno:

Just sayin',

Does Anyone Have one yet?
Not to my knowledge. Not 'round these parts anyway. I'm teetering on ordering one very soon. I just want it - can't explain, just needs to be done.

Aw shit man, I'm glad I made you laugh... The way I presented this is, that one day, I hope to find a midget in bondage at my doorstep as return on all the good duties I've rendered, the compassion, the caring, the goodwill and kindness.

I'm a Buddhist, as much as I can be. And at the end of it all, a lil' bugger in bondage on my front porch one morning would really make my day :D

Peace,
V.

Right now Im using a Platinum Voodoo modded Dual Rec through 2 Bogner Uber front loads. I love it but Ive always been interested in Diezel amps just trying to decide on which one to get. I have no dealers close to me. Any suggestions?

This really depends on what you want out of your amp...

The Diezel lineage has a flavor for every player, and the nice thing is, the Diezel signature tone is prevalent in every one of their models. So it just depends if you want bright and chimey (think Telecaster country/bluesy/jazzy) or earth shaking, wall crumbling drop tuned psycho punch, or precise percussive incredibly TIGHT riffage.

They make something for everyone, providing the Diezel tone is something you crave and love!!!

V.

EDIT: Just for the record, I can't speak about personal experience with the Hagen (yet!!), but I can with all other Deizel amps

Well, from what I hear, a VH4 would kick nuts in that setting of music. I'd say a Herbert may equally be a good play, but some of the tunes had a really tightness to them in the playing, and this is where the VH4 would shine. The Herbert could cook nicely too, seems to be your bass player's got it covered when it comes to the floor, so you could rely less on the Herb's massive low end and try and EQ some more of the mids through it to get the cut. But off the bat?? I heard a lot of Killswitch style playing in there, and that led me right to the VH4.

Just my 2 cents,
V.

Thank you! im gonna look around n see if I got a dealer within 5 hours of me so I can try one lol. Rochester NY sucks for good gear :bash:

My pleasure - but correct me if I am wrong, there seems to be a flavour of KSE in your music, is this true? If so, get the VH4 - period.

There is a hint of KSE in there  . I like my amp extremely tight with a very punchy percussive low end. I like to feel the power while palm muting + great note articulation which I got but need the midi and some other sounds as well. My amp is a one trick pony.

So If I buy used what is the year with the newest revisions on a VH4?

2011___ They are constantly changing __ But 2005 is considered by some a cut off year.. If you find a deal they will all sound kiler I would want a 2009 or newer ?!
