All hail Ēostra, the goddess of dawn and new beginnings, and the bringer of spring. Let us regale our children with the tale of the wounded bird that failed to migrate and perished in the winter that she gave new life as a egg laying rabbit to spread the message of spring. Let us decorate the eggs to symbolise the new beginnings she brings. Let us rejoice on this first Sunday following the first full moon past the spring equinox. Let us decorate with soft pastel colors to symbolize the flowers she brings. Let us eat candy and look for the eggs she hid to find a new spring.
