Help me buy a PRS

I have several PRS guitars and they are well worth having. I found the stock pickups across the board were not for me, and I had to factor in the cost of replacements. I liked the trem a lot for some time, but all my guitars are on the wall and trems are frustrating AF to keep and stay in tune.

Ironically, the only PRS I didn't swap pickups is the Holcomb SE, but then again they come with Alpha/Omega SDs. It's also the only PRS I have with a 25.5 scale.

If you're coming from the Jackson/super-strat world, I would recommend a CE-24 with the pattern-thin neck.
I was in a similar boat about 5 years ago where all I ever owned were super-strat guitars and wanted to try some variety. I purchased a CE-24 in a Sweetwater special run that was satin black stain, still have that guitar and play it regularly, an awesome playing and feeling guitar.

I went through several including a 10-top 594 and a few others that were the core high priced. The CE24 played just as good or better and I loved the look and feel, so sold/traded them. I currently have the CE24 and a core Custom-22.

As for pickups, they all sound pretty good, but I currently have a set of PRS \m/ pickups in the Custom 22 and Suhr SSH+ (B) and SD Jazz (N) in the CE24. They both sound phenomenal.

I like this video on the CE24 that describes the differences between the CE and the Core models.
