How long can you make it through this song?

Of all that is unholy...I guess we can collectively stop waiting for an avant-garde symphonic Chad Kroeger side project.

I love the "THEY SOLD 12 TRILLION RECORDS" argument

Yeah, and so did Milli Vanilli and the backstreet boys. That doesn't make them serious artists lol

Especially in Canada where they force canadian music onto the airwaves

They get so much hate I don't know why I absolutely love them! If they were the shit band that everybody says they are they wouldn't have made so much money they could all retire now but they keep going because they love it.

Nickelback or Creed, which worse?

The fact that there are so many creed/tremonti and nickelback defenders on RT makes so much sense in the context of how barren the clips section is, as far as the alarming lack of honest-to-god cool music getting posted - the lack of people in original bands making cool stuff, too

It's like eating mcdonald's or whatever every day and then expecting yourself to be the peak of physical health

I have decided to learn one of the songs for band practice Thursday night. I often throw some random song into the practice. Last week was Strutter. I figured out yesterday Cure - Just Like Heaven and was going to use it.

What song should I learn ??
How You Remind Me ?

When I was gigging around with a mix of covers and originals I would actively pick various tracks to make sound very different or fun to play. The band started 'How you remind me' and I shortly scrapped it. It just doesnt have a certain fun drive when played live. Kinda dragging and slow feeling.

Now my weird rock version of 'Ain't no rest for the wicked' by Cage the Elephant- that's good stuff.

I have always been under the mindset that I perform covers to always be my orgiginal version of it as opposed to copying the exact way it sounds on the record.

When I was around 10 I picked up that Nickelback album and was surprised the other tracks were really riffing and rocking.

That album had some cool stuff on it for sure. I disliked their overall popness that had developed and wasnt a fan of their big radio hits like 'Photograph' at all.

I wanted that more raw sound and lyrics I heard on that first album but it never quite returned.
