As a Petty Officer, I was only allowed to wear a command ballcap, Dixie cup, or the black split top old school working blue cover. So I am confused.

Edit - upon quick research, it seems they passed these out by the time I was in. So I apologize for my ignorance of the uniform back then. Apparently these passed out for junior enlisted in the early 80s.

I wanted a VEPR. They had the RPK thickness receiver and heavier barrel but I didn't feel like spending $650. Basically a Cadillac AK. Should've bought a few and I'd have two free guns outta the deal considering import bans on Russian guns made them $$$ and ammo too thanks democrats.
