Alot of them act like they're in Jr. High and gang up on you if you don't spread TGP Gospel, they're all afriad of getting bant themselves.

Same shit happens on HCAF and RT to varying degrees or almost any other gear forum I've been on.

Whether you like it or not depends on which side of the clique you're on, basically.

I lurked on a number of sites before coming into this one with a full on handle and all... Albeit there are indeed `varying degreees` of BS on all sites and forums, I have to say this place to me at least, seems the most level headed and loaded with a more mature, straight up, no-BS crew.

I only use tgp for the classifieds . But to say this board is NOT a bunch of cvv/diesel fanboys is just denial, I wonder what the ratio of cameron amps sold on this board to guys who have never been on this board is. Also how many diesels Brad sells outside of the board. There is nothing wrong with any of this of course, I would love to have a MB with this type of clientele at my finger tips. Brad is a good business man/really nice guy and mark Cameron seems like a scam artist I would never get within a billion miles of. I think it is awesome that Brad has (almost) manage to get this turned around and make some serous money on it. To me the guys that don't have amps that have paid still need to get amps before Brad is totally in the clear. Then, after that happens, I will have no problem jumping into the TGP fire and defending him!!!!

I've been put on blast here for not Diggin a Friedman amp...and then defending Diezel... It's the same everywhere . Just try and the marshall modded crowd here than your not a fan of their dated tones and they go crazy...

You were put on blast for using terms like "fucking Marshalls" and "dated tones." When you use attack terms like that, people are going to get defensive.

"Dated tones" is fair. "Classic tones" would be more pc. Profanity can be offensive and inflammatory.

3. Anachronistic; being obviously inappropriate for its present context.
4. No longer fashionable.

I agree. "Classic" would be a much less controversial way of putting it. "Dated" will definitely draw some negative responses.

I would venture to say this board has more modded Marshall fanboys than anything else. I have seen Marshalls modded by Jose, Diezel, Bogner, Friedman, Fortin, Golub, Suhr, Bray, Rockstah, Voodoo, Wilder and countless others on this forum. To try and narrow it down to CCV's and Diezels is wrong.

For the record, you cats who've been around my posts know it too, I'm so done with the 'plexi this' and 'plexi that'. Drives me nuts... Go buy a f*ckin' Marshall and get over it!! Not picking sides or anything, I just find it crazy how many people have all these amazing tones at their fingertips, yet take these amazing amps and try to reform them BACK into the Plexi template

Not sure anything is dated. Maybe there are newer tones to go along side the classic ones, but music today is so eclectic that to call any gear dated doesn't make sense. It's in there somewhere.

As RT grows it will have the same problems as other forums have. But it is the Golden Age of RT now.
